Our History
The South African Liquor Traders Association (SALTA) was established with the vision of creating a unified voice for liquor retailers across South Africa. Over the years, we have grown from a small collective of traders into the country's premier liquor trade association.
Our journey began with the recognition that liquor retailers needed strong representation in policy discussions, regulatory matters, and industry development. Through dedication and commitment to our members' success, SALTA has become an influential force in shaping the liquor trade landscape in South Africa.
Today, we represent hundreds of liquor retailers across all nine provinces, providing essential services including regulatory guidance, training programs, industry advocacy, and business support. Our continued growth reflects our members' trust in our ability to serve their interests effectively.
